About POLYGLOTx

Who are we?

POLYGLOTx was founded by Sarah Sattar and Kaylie Wolk, two high schoolers born and raised in New York City, where people come from all over the world. Some of our favorite subjects are Spanish, French, Latin, and Arabic because we adore learning to communicate in other languages and about different cultures.

Why teen instructors?

With our teen instructors, students are able to learn more effectively in a more comfortable and non-intimidating setting. And have more interesting conversations!

What is our goal?

Our mission is to inspire youth to participate in global conversations through language to expand their view of the world around them.

Why should YOU learn another language?

​

We believe it is a truly rewarding experience to be able to connect with other people. Knowing another language widens the range of people we are able to communicate with and allows us to get to know them better.

​

Being able to communicate in another language fosters a deeper appreciation of the many cultures present in this world. 

​

There are many cognitive benefits to knowing more than one language. These include improved memory, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, enhanced concentration, and better listening skills.

Who do we donate to? Why?

​

15% of our profits are donated to child refugees and migrants. Nearly half of all refugees are children. They face danger, detention, discrimination, and deprivation. We want to provide aid in an attempt to make their journeys easier. If you want to find out more, click here.
